Boric acid can be used in the home
to control fleas. It can be safe if you follow instructions. Just remember that if you
have pets that it can kill them as well as kill animals including humans if
ingested or if
it enters our blood. It is for this reason that I urge great caution when using this
product.
Basically you scrub a small amount
of the boric acid onto the rug and then you brush up any
left over boric acid into the fiber of the rugs, then vacuum over once to remove any left on top. Do this three times a year. . This dusting will kill any flea eggs as they hatch and will last a
long time.
