A test was done at Michigan State University that showed that drenching the soil with
a mixture of warm water and castor oil was enough to keep moles and voles away from 1 to 3
months! You can make your own mixture by mixing 1 quart castor oil to a unit that hooks up
to a garden hose. Set the mixture ratio at 10 to 1. 10 parts water to 1 part castor oil.
Spray soil. Spray entire area. Spray several times per week at first if you have a bad
problem then spray once per month to maintain control.
