Natural Rodent Control Dept

If you are having a rodent problem follow these steps to control them.

  • Always clean up after yourself. A very good idea no?

    • In other words control their food  and water sources!

  • Patch up any holes coming into your home. Take a walk outside
and take a look around. Keep the immediate areas clean of
all areas and of various types of materials that could hide and or
house rats and other rodents. Things like wood piles or piles of newspaper,
or magazines or boxes or anything that could hide them should be removed
    and or cleaned up.

  • Inside also look at places they can hide . There are many signs that they are
around. look for droppings as a clear sign they are around. A good general
clean up would be in order.

  • You can set up traps to catch the immediate occupants.

    • It is not a good idea to use poisons so I will not recommend it here,
however I can recommend a product called Rampage which is made of
Vit D3. Always follow instructions. Keep out of reach of pets and children.
This product D3 is not metabolized by rodents and will not cause secondary
(if your cat or dog or bird eats the mouse) poisoning. This product is
available from Peaceful Valley Farm Supply.

  • Once they have been removed then you can spray around the inside and outside
    with any of the following:

    • Citronella Oil

    • Tea Tree Oil

    • Lavender Oil

    • Pennyroyal Oil

    • Peppermint Oil

    • Melaleuca Oil

  • Spray as often as needed.

    • I would suggest that you alternate between the different types of essential oils
I have mentioned or find some of your own!

    • Underground Exterminator
