TIWN1:Water and Nutritional Requirements of Trees for control of ants/aphids

• It is important to remember that ants/aphids are attracted to this tree because the tree is stressed out or sick. The stress may come from any place, lack of water / food / etc. Environmental stress etc.

•  

  Start by making sure that the tree in question is not being over  or under watered.

   

GOTO Controlling Watering

• Is it located in a lawn area? Are the sprinklers hitting the trunk?

   

• If it is not getting enough water, start by deep root watering it.

   

• Go to a local nursery and obtain a deep root feeder, without the chemical fertilizer which is provided.

• Formula for...Trees

  • 1 gallon of Nitron A-35,

  • 1 gallon of Agri-Gro 

  • 1 quart Superseaweed

Add  a quart of Nitron A-35 and a quart Agri Gro into a bucket of water, to this also add 20 drops of Superseaweed.

Add 1 cup Molasses. Stir well. ALLOW to sit for a hour.

  Attach siphon unit to hose and place tube into this mixture.

Attach hose to deep root feeder.

Stick deep root feed into ground about 3 feet out from tree, on higher ground.

Water slowly for a good 10 hours, moving  deep root feeder every hour or so to a different place.

Stick deep root feeder in at leaf two feet. 

Do this once per week for the first month then monthly until tree starts to recover.

Apply a thin layer of rock dust and compost around the base of the tree water in.
