Insect Water Nutritional requirements for Control of Leaf Miners

Common Causes

  • High Stress levels

  • High Nitrogen Fertilizers

  • Improper Watering methods

  • Improper or no nutrition applied to tree.

  • Low Brix levels

  • Control watering

    • Drip system

    • Soaker system

      • It is important that trees get enough watering once per month or as often as needed. They love slow deep watering.

    • Garden filter

      • Most city water has chemicals that kill off beneficial bacteria and damage tree roots. Since there are no commercially available garden filters, you will have to either make your own from a shower filter or buy.

    • Tree Vents

      • This is a very important tool which I have developed for controlling tree pests and diseases as well as providing nutrition. A drip system should be hooked into it to water.

  • Control Nutritional

    • Compost

      • apply compost at a regular bases.

    • Rock Dust

    • Organic Bacterial Products

    • Organic Fertilizers

      • Use only 100% Organic and Natural fertilizers. Avoid use of Urea based products.

    • Tree vents

      • Place compost, rock dust, and organic fertilizers in here for best results.

    • TGM+

      • This mixture will control and repel all insects.

  • See also Leaf Miners and Trees

It is important that you control over head watering. Too much water will cause great stress on trees which will in turn reduce energy levels. When this happens, tree is open to attack.
