Cures for Various Tree Injuries
Environmental Damages
This is damage due to an environmental reason such as weather variations,
chemicals in the air, soil, and water. Other damages include earthquakes, flooding, fires,
etc. There is not much that you can do about these except keep the tree as healthy as
possible.
Herbicide Injuries.
If herbicides were used, flush with lots of water. Provide compost and mulch.
Spray a seaweed like Superseaweed or use Nitron. A-35, Agri Gro, Roots or ?
Pesticide Injuries
Flush area with water. Provide compost and mulch. Spray with a liquid seaweed
mixture.
Leaf Scorch
Make sure tree is getting plenty of water. Always filter water. Use a drip
system to water tree vents.
To Fight Drought Injuries
Use compost and mulch. Use a drip system to provide water. Use tree vents to
allow for deep watering and feeding.
For Salt Toxicity
City water contains chlorine, a salt. Use only filtered water on trees. Apply
compost and mulch. Avoid fertilizers as they are all salt based.
Winter Injuries
Most trees will recover from winter injuries if strong (hint). Feed well with
compost twice per year if possible, spray with rock dust, milk or seaweed.
